As technologies, systems and the wider rail industry evolve, innovation is essential to building a safer, more productive and more interoperable rail network. ARISO plays a key role in creating the standards, frameworks and collaborative environment that enable innovation to move from concept to industry practice.

Working with rail infrastructure managers, operators, manufacturers, suppliers, governments and regulators, ARISO develops nationally harmonised standards that support the safe adoption of new technologies. This includes standards that respond to emerging areas such as digital engineering, onboard electrical energy storage, communications systems and rolling stock technologies.
