SPAD / LRTAE Working Group
The SPAD/LRTAE Working Group is an industry group coordinated by ARISO, bringing together rail organisations from across Australia and New Zealand to collaborate on SPAD and LRTAE matters of national significance.
The Group meets generally three times per year and provides a SPAD/LRTAE Forum for industry every two years. Meetings focus on SPAD and LRTAE related activities for national application, including light rail, and provide leadership through collaboration, shared learning and coordinated industry responses.
What the Group focuses on

Free and open exchange of ideas and concepts in relation to SPADs and LRTAEs, supporting shared understanding across organisations. |
Sharing insights from industry members on key initiatives and emerging issues related to SPAD and LRTAE risk. |

Undertaking comprehensive research into SPAD and LRTAE matters and developing nationally consistent, industry-wide positions. |
Reviewing policies, initiatives and practices delivered nationally and internationally, and disseminating information across the rail industry. |

Developing industry positions in relation to ONRSR-related SPAD and LRTAE matters, including establishment of working parties where appropriate. |
Providing leadership and coordination to support consistent application of SPAD and LRTAE learnings across Australia and New Zealand. |
Membership
Membership of the SPAD/LRTAE Working Group is open to any rail organisation in Australia and New Zealand. The Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator attends meetings on request.
